Hildegard is Jim’s tip of the hat to the varietals that would have produced the first whites in the Corton-Charlemagne vineyard (as opposed to the more contemporary Chardonnay). He has indeed crafted a beauty. The nose is a luscious mingling of smokiness, toasted hazelnuts, baked orchard fruits, and soft brown spice.
